Trevor demonstrates how to create a beautiful hanging basket with fuchsia planted inside and gives gardeners some handy tips for caring for fuchsias.

• Fuchsias are a beautiful cool climate plant that are excellent at bringing at pop of colour into any garden.
• While fuchsias may struggle through the hotter seasons, to help them survive ensure to use the best possible soil that will provide your plant with lots of nutrients and water it consistently.
• Fuchsias look excellent in hanging baskets, which can be easily found at any garden centre. To help the fuchsias make it through the dry season, wrap a layer of newspaper inside a fibre lined basket to stop the air from drying out the roots.
• If your fuchsia is still struggling through the summer, don’t be afraid to use a bit of Seasol each month to reduce stress from the heat and dryness and water it daily to keep it thriving as a beacon of colour in your garden.
