Story: Fantastic Lawns at Lakelands

Trevor takes a trip to the Lakelands Country Club to check out their spectacular lawn and learns a few tips and tricks along the way.

• After having success with the golf course club green with Troforte Fert-O-Lawn, Lakelands Country Club were officially approached by the greens superintendent Ron Sorensen.
• Ron was looking for a more reliable and sustainable solutions to help Lakelands Country Club realize their long-term vision of their golf course being more sustainable for future generations.
• This was a bold step to move away from the traditional, heavily chemical reliant, golf course maintenance methods.
• Trofotre has helped build a brand-new practice putting green from the ground-up.
• A sand base was used topped up with a blend of our Troforte golf turfect compost together with Troforte mineral matric and some slow release Troforte fertiliser.
• The green was then seeded with bent grass and the germination rate was astounding according to Rob.
• Lakelands CC are now using Troforte-Fert-O-Lawn on all their greens and Troforte Fairways blend on their fairways.
• In addition, they also use Troforte Liquid Fertiliser, and the greens receive a regular application (every 3 months) of Troforte Bio Energetic Microbes to maintain microbial biomass under the greens.
