There’s nothing like making a good first impression. Since the front of the house is the first thing people see when they visit, it’s nice to greet them with a bit of colour and personal style. So let’s dress this place up a bit.

• Pots framing the entrance are a classic look that never goes out of style- it’s all about choosing the right pots and plants to reflect your personality and the style of your garden.
  
• ‘Mandy is a hybrid Camelia, which be grown in sun or shade and flowers through winter and spring.
  
• Hanging baskets provide great vertical colour and really make a statement at the entrance of the house.
  
• Use a good scoop of Seasol planting gel to get Hanging Basket plants off to a flying start.
  
• When it comes to combining plants in hanging baskets, you don’t have to be too conservative. They work really well when there’s lots of plants packed in there and lots of colour.
