Building a better lawn can be a difficult task, but Trevor has a couple of important tips to keep up your sleeve

Lush Lawns

• If you have a lawn that is growing sparsely and needs thickening up the best option is to use a lawn seed and thickener product
• There are many available on the market but make sure that you pick the right grass seed. There's no point putting down couch seed if you have Kikuyu growing
• Before you apply the lawn seed and thickener closely mow your lawn, shake the box well and then half a handful per square metre of turf
