Veggies are very hungry and they need regular amounts of fertiliser to keep your crops strong, healthy and resistant. Neville shares his top tips to growing the crispiest and freshest vegetables this winter.

Tips and Facts:

  • WA has some of the world's most impoverished soils. So most fruit, vegetables and meat in the State is grown using a limited range of plant nutrients, without the addition of essential trace minerals like selenium, cobalt, zinc and copper.
  • Plants only need a small number of minerals to grow, however complex minerals are essential. These minerals are essential for the health of humans and animals.
  • Minerals are best absorbed by the body when consumed in food rather than taken as a supplement, so the best way to keep your family healthy is to grow your own food with the correct mineral fertiliser.
  • Shades of Green is a fertiliser developed in WA to help gardeners grow healthy nutrition into the produce and it is the only fertiliser available with a smorgasbord of 60 minerals.
