One of the worst things about winter for a gardener is everything grows, particularly weeds but if you're up for a little bit of light aerobic exercise Trevor shows you the simple way to control weeds.
Tips and Facts
- Hoes are a simple way to cut out weeds at root level and a 15 minute vigorous session in the morning is equivalent to running a few kilometres.
- Hoes play a big role in turning soils over; this opens it up and makes the ground healthy whilst grubbing out weed seeds at germination stage.
- Veggie gardens should be hoed at least once every crop, this cultivation is very good for productive gardens soil.
