Geraldine explores a small community garden in Subiaco established almost 15 years ago. More than a place for hands on gardening it’s an environmental centre that doubles up as a social hub where friendships are formed.

About Earthwise Community Garden Project

• Earthwise is a small Subiaco community garden that was established in 1996.
• It provides local friendships and hands on garden work in a relaxing atmosphere.
• Teaches people what can be achieved in small inner city living spaces.
• Earthwise works closely with small local businesses to contribute coffee grounds and vegetable scraps for the compost and worm farm.
• The centre has a range of herbs and native plants amongst stepping stones.  
• Promotes and supports a sustainable attitude and many people using this centre appreciate feeling part of a warm and accepting environment.
