- Waterlog reduces the cost of labour, logistics, and of handling materials that are typically associated with irrigational systems.
- Micro-organisms release moisture when it comes into contact with dry soil, and has the wetting equivalent of 50 watering cans.
- The moisture released from Waterlog is delivered directly to the roots of plants, and has almost 100% absorption.
- As a result of this, plants receive a steady and reliable source of moisture.

Sowing the Seeds? Project
- 10 students in year 6 from St Stephen?s School approached Culunga Aboriginal Community School with a project idea which has resulted in a strong bond between both schools.
- The primary team proposed a joint project to establish a vegetable garden for Culunga Aboriginal Community School. The aims of ?Sowing the Seeds? project are:
- To help Culunga to provide healthier food for its students on an ongoing basis.
- To help all students involved learn to grow their own food.
- To encourage all students involved to make healthier food choices.
- To develop the knowledge and skills needed for all students to prepare and cook fresh foods.
- To develop an understanding of the Aboriginal seasons and native foods.
- Breakfast and lunch is provided for students enrolled at Culunga daily. The new vegetable patch will now provide them with fresh produce to meet the famous ?2 fruit and 5 vege? requirements.
- Once the vegetable/herb patch is established, the students plan to plant fruit trees and climbers. In winter they will set up mushroom boxes and worm farms.
- It is hoped that a healthier lifestyle and the enjoyment and sense of responsibility of caring for the gardens will increase school attendance at Culunga.
