Trevor has seen many wonderful and weird plants in his day but he loves the unusual and rare plants you can pick up from your independent nursery. One of his favourite places to get such plants is Toolangi Wholesale Nursery. Now you can’t buy direct from them but your local garden centre can.
Featured Plant- Giant Burmese Honeysuckle
- Glossy leaves
- Giant white flowers that fade to gold
- Grows to a large size
- Intoxicating fragrance
Featured Plant- Ghurka Daphne
- Very fragrant
- Could easily fill a backyard full of fragrance
Featured Plant- Daphne Bholua
- Grows in Eastern Himalayas between Nepal and Bhutan
- Can grow up to 4 metres tall
- In an Australian garden it could grow to around 2 metres tall
- The bigger the plant the more stunning the flowers
Featured Plant- Mahonia
- Stunning Autumn and winter foliage
- Widely used in Japan and Korea in all sorts of landscapes
- Known for its diverse shape and colour
Featured Plant – Witch Hazel
- Cool Climate
- Produces orange flower called Jelena
- More difficult to grow
- Cooler climate
- 10 years to grow to decent size
- Moss and Lichen grow through the tree for an aged effect
