AGI Insulation

  • Professional Insulation
    • Installing insulation is a skill. Make sure the people who'll be wandering around inside your roof cavity are professionally trained and adhere to the industry safety standards and Australian Standard for installation.
  • Free Measure and Quote
    • Insulation will save you money in the long term, generally in the thousands of dollars. If a potential supplier refuses to offer you a no-obligation , free measure and quote, look for another one.
  • Choosing the right batt
    • Insulation batt are assigned an R Value-the higher the number the better the performance. Make sure your supplier explains which one will be right for your home and why.
  • Safety First
    • Insist on bio-soluble glass wool batts. These are 100% safe, fire resistant and guarantees for the life of your home. AGI Batts are manufactured from 100% recycled glass. The amount of energy that it uses in their manufacture is about the same amount that is saved by you within four to five weeks of having them installed in your home. Your home is more energy efficient and the environmental benefits are continuous because you won't need as much energy to create the same level of comfort.
  • Attention to detail
    • The space around downlights can result in a 67% reduction in the performance of the insulation. Make sure the company you use install special covers around the downlights to maximise effectiveness of insulation.
  • No Mess
    • Insulation goes in your roof. The rest of your home, including your yard and bins, should be left exactly as they were before installers arrived. There should not be any off-cuts in your roof, or anywhere else. Make sure your insulation company agrees to remove all the off-cuts and packaging when they leave.
